About Nicky Carey

Nicky Carey is a qualified Art Therapist based in Reesville near Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Queensland, Australia
He attained his Graduate Diploma in Transpersonal Art Therapy in 2013 from the Ikon Institute in Brisbane QLD. He then completed graduate certificates in Initiatic Art Therapy in 2015 and in Work at Clayfield in 2017, through the Institute for Sensorimotor Art Therapy & School for Initiatic Art Therapy in QLD
He is currently undertaking somatic Experiencing Professional Training through the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute, Australia
He was born in Dublin Ireland and completed his Diploma in Fine Art in 1994 at Dunlaogharie College of Art & Design in Ireland. He then went on to graduate from the National College of Art & Design, also in Dublin in 1997, with a Bachelor in Fine Art (honours)
